Good in the Hood Fest Kicks Off on Friday

This year's Good in the Hood celebration will kick off on Friday night for three days of neighborly fun. The Good Neighbor Night Mixer, featuring live music and food, will be held Friday, June 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. at King School Park, at the corner of Northeast 6th Avenue and Humboldt Street, south of Alberta. The Good in the Hood Festival will be held on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27. A Community parade will kick off the festival at 11 a.m. on Saturday from Dawson Park. The festival starts at noon at King School Park with live performances by Ocean 503, Patrick Lamb Band, Norman Sylvester Band, the Erotic City Prince Tribute Band, Elite, Judah, Kode Bluuz and more. In addition to the musical performances, there will be a beer and wine garden, a variety of food from 20 vendors, a marketplace featuring goods from around the world and other booths from community businesses and organizations.
